(and other eBay questions)

1. Is this neck the same as the original its patterned after? Its as close as you can get. General rule of thumb; if its supposed to be a replica of something famous or a production model, then everything about it will be similar to the original.

2. Can you make me another one like the one on eBay? Yes we can, but it wont cost the same. EBay items are generally deals we give on leftover stock or just fun specials. Anything ordered is priced on this site, email if you cant figure it out as pricing may be hard to follow.

4. It says that it may need finish sanding. How much work is needed to finish this? Really nothing if you are painting correctly and using a sealer coat. If you plan to paint over bare wood you may want to sand a few times with 220 or 320 grit. All of our bodies and necks are typically sanded to 220 but you may find a sanding scratch or two in the eBay stuff. We generally stop short in the sanding for eBay items to keep costs down.

5. I see other necks on eBay similar to yours. Why should I buy from you? Because we have been doing this for a long time and we make necks correctly. A lot of eBay sellers are people making these out of their house and haven't really learned how to make a neck. All of our wood is kiln dried slowly to avoid twisting. All of our wood is hand picked, we don't have buy a pallet of wood and hope its all good quality. All of our wood is at equilibrium with our environment, which makes for a more stable neck. All of our necks are dipped in a special sealer to prevent warping due to atmospheric changes. This, however, is not enough for some woods. Some woods require a hard finish, like maple.

6. How low will the action on my neck be? That's up to you. Even though we do our best to level the frets, this procedure really cant be done until you string the guitar up. In some cases you may have to do a slight fret level when you set up your guitar. Fret ends will also have to be dressed, we don't do this to our necks.

7. Do you offer any finish services for the necks or bodies? Yes, check out the website. We also offer a special oil/wax treatment to the necks for an additional fee. This creates a beautiful looking neck with the feel of glass.

8. How long will my order take to be finished? As long as it takes. A smart answer I know, but its hard to say when something will be finished. Its a better answer than telling you something that wont turn out to be true. I'm a optimist when it comes to time so when I quote you a timeline, its best to add a couple weeks to that. 95% of what we do is custom work, which takes time. Building guitars is an organic process and cant be rushed. If you are impatient, do not order from us. Save yourself( and us) the aggravation. Believe me, I will only aggravate you more if you are impatient.

9. Emails, phone calls, more photos and tracking numbers and shipping info. Ok, this is a tough subject because we actually do love talking with people about guitars. HOWEVER, I really don't have time to chat. This is a very small operation and we just don't have the time to spend answering unnecessary emails or phone calls. Please, please, please keep your emails to a minimum. Please try to figure out from the website how much something cost, If my pricing explanation doesn't make sense then let me know so I can fix it. We try to put up as many photos as we can on the website. More will come. I don't have the time to take additional photos of something so don't ask, you'll only be directed to the website if you do. Do not email me to ask if something has shipped, when will it ship, why hasn't it shipped etc. You'll know it has shipped when you see it on your doorstep. Emailing me every 2 days and asking if it has shipped will only slow your shipping down. Right now, we are only shipping one day a week and that day is up to our discretion. We are working on getting your tracking numbers sent via automated email when your package ships. Until that happens,we wont have any tracking numbers to give out.
